1)
Course Syllabus ........... Weekly
Lecture Slides: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9,
NOTE! Week #5 Slides #4 & #5 had an error in the
equations for Mach, VCAL, & V∞. It has been
corrected. Please download Week 5 slides & replace!

Course Project - Elliptical Wing Wind
Tunnel Test
(Extra Credit – Build & Flight
Test RC Airplane. Details TBD. Will require lab fee payment.)
A. For writing up your project report: Instructions
and Report
Format Template (right-click+"Save
As").
Our wind tunnel test
procedures.
Here is an
example wind tunnel report write up to give you an idea of the kinds of things
expected. Blatant copying is NOT A
GOOD IDEA (i.e. I will know!)
NEW! Here is a
description of what you need to do for the extra credit RC aircraft experiment,
along with an abbreviated report format you may use for this project ONLY!
B. The data files from our wind tunnel experiment will
be loaded here: Noon Class, 3PM Class
Also, the following are geometric parameters for the wing we tested:
Wing span = 31.6875 inches
Reference Area = 207.5 square inches
Airfoil cross
section = NACA 0012
3) Course Homework - Textbook Assigned Problems (and solutions)
A. Chapter 2: 2.1, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5, 2.7, 2.10
B. Chapter 3: 3.1 thru 3.4, 3.7, 3.9, and 3.10
C. Chapter 4: 4.1 thru 4.6, 4.15, 4.20 thru 4.23, 4.39
D. Chapter 5: 5.2 thru 5.9
